Member Opportunities

We believe the Church-collective is One Church that stretches across space and time; membership in this Church is based on a deepening relationship with the person of Jesus and experiencing a walk with Him.

Membership at High Places Community Church is informal and people are "members" to the degree which they choose to be involved. The invitation to join us on the journey is always open & the joke around High Places is that if you come twice in a row, we count you as a member on the path with us, hoping that you find encouragement and support as you seek to know the Jesus in whom we've placed our trust.

Over time, 'members' deepen with us and with that deepening comes the spiritual responsibility of sharing what you have learned with others. As Hebrews 5:12 states, "You have been believers for such a long time now, you ought to be teaching others." When we say that "every member is a minister" we mean very simply that --

1.  As we journey together, we believe that we are supposed to 'Turn on the Lights' in an attempt to overcome darkness in our world with the Light of Jesus and his love.

2.  We strive to Love & Value God above all else & Become Increasingly Equipped to Love & Value our Neighbors. This reflects the presence, character, and likeness of God. 

3.  We believe, as member ministers, we are called to practice the habits of Purpose, Etiquette, and Giving in all we do.

That kind of "membership" truly puts us in the highest of places because it is a life modeled after Jesus who loved and served, and humbled Himself to the point of laying down everything to follow God the Father and to serve others.
